Oakland is the city of murals. Check out Mural Lane to see a dense area of murals that are on everything from garbage cans to building walls. Start at the corner of Franklin & 15th and walk down 15th Street towards Webster. There will be a few more if you make a left on Webster.
If you want to see more of these murals, Oakland's Chinatown has a bunch, particularly on 10th St between Webster and Oak. Also, one of the iconic painted gnomes ended up on this street between Harrison and Alice Streets.
